Under this scheme, collateral-free loans are offered in India to small and micro-units. Loans are offered to these units by banks and other institutions that register for the same. Thе Govеrnmеnt of India guarantееs thе loan up to 75% of thе amount. This reduces the risk for the lending institutions, thus encouraging entrepreneurship and the development of small and micro businesses.

  • The business must not have had any credit defaults in the past
  • Must be a micro or small business as per the MSMED Act, 2006
